As part of the company’s will to promote local indigenous, afro and farmer participation and benefits from the production of organic raw material and/or Eightfold’s final products, we created a social program that operates on the basis of value-sharing agreements.

Divided into 2 main components, The Campesino Program aims to give land to landless people on the one hand, and to teach organic farming to those who don’t have a regular income on the other hand. We look to support their sustainable food production, self-sufficient habits and solidarity schemes by buying their products at our Eightfold processing facilities.

Additionally, it wants to help strengthen local cultures’ traditions, including the protection of historical heritage sites through proper cross-cultural education trainings.

In order to ensure the governance of the relationship between us and project surrounding communities, a Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) will be adopted to examine Eightfold Communities’ health, ecology, fairness and sense of wellbeing.
